A lot of people just snicker when I mention racing like NASCAR and IndyCar. I don't watch Indy, in fact no one outside of Danica Patrick's parents and her creepy fans watch IndyCar. But if you missed it this weekened, the Indy 500 was ran and it is the largest spectator sport in the country world. Put this one on my sports bucket list as places I want to be. How do you put 300,000+ fans in one place at one time?

The most dominate athlete on the planet right now is not Kobe, not Federer, not David Beckham, nor Albert Pujols, but rather its Jimmie Johnson. If you don't know of him, you clearly don't follow NASCAR. Jimmie Johnson has won 4 straight NASCAR Sprint Cups and doesn't look to be slowing down this year. That is, if some of the other drivers don't have something to say about it.
I won't get into the nuances of the sport because you really won't appreciate it unless you go to a race. If you like having a great time with a lot of people, you need to visit your closest track. This season NASCAR has taken the chains off the drivers' emotions and has opened the door for something similar to Road Rash for Sega Genesis, minus the whips and motorcycles. If a driver gets spun out, expect him to retaliate.

A small crash on lap 3 may have given 4 drivers hope in winning the Chase. Jimmie Johnson entered Texas with a huge lead and only needed a decent top-10 finish to basically lock up an unprecedented 4th NASCAR Championship, instead, he got bumped around turn two and almost saved it, until he came back across the track and got nailed causing heavy damage.

A historic day in Sports' history, yes, Sports. The first class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame were selected for the new Hall opening next year in Charlotte, NC. This was a highly talked about debate amongst who to let in for the first class. With many great drivers that have come and gone, who do you let in on the first ballot? Surely all of the greats will be let in, but it says something to be elected on first ballot for the first class.
