Happy Fourth of July. A yearly reminder of how truly lucky we are to live in the greatest country in the world. And while hopefully you all spend your days outside, at the beach or by the pool, enjoying barbeque, and playing lawn games; let us never forget the men and women protecting our Freedom at home and abroad. One of the many great freedoms that we observe, as a country, is sports. Let us look back at a few, of the many, of the highlights in American sports since last Independence Day. Bring on the fireworks!

Am I the only one who enjoys this sport? It's the only sport where nonathletic people, unlike myself, fail to do the simple things, such as jumping higher than 1 foot, or landing on a big red ball. Look, it is not that hard. This seems a lot like any other game show, where they only pick the suckers and clowns who can't do elementary math and lose to 5th graders.

This past weekend I made the trek from New England to Baltimore for the Preakness Horse Race and it was worth every stinky toilet flush that the RV had to offer. It was a large enough RV for the seven of us traveling down south to pay homage to the acres of plush green grass, littered with skimpy outfits, tents, red mugs, and 30,000+ party goers completely oblivious to the race circling them.
