Skip's Fantasy Do's and Don'ts

Tonight I’ve been asked to help a friend draft his fantasy football team. He’s never had a fantasy football team before, knows almost nothing about the game and possesses absolutely no athletic ability whatsoever. So how he even came to be involved in this league, I still haven’t discerned. Regardless, I feel obligated to help the kid out, and it has inspired this week’s Top 10.

Fantasy Football Week 9 Studs

This year our staff at SOS will pick 1 fantasy player each week that we think will have a great week. We will keep a running tally all season long to see who in fact can pick the best players. A player may only be picked once a year per person.

Fantasy Football 2009: Sleepers Week 9

Not a bad week last week but let me be the first to tell you that it is not really worth picking up Ryan Moats. First off, they are playing the Colts this week and they have a bye next week and its not like Steve Slaton is out with an injury, he was merely sitting on the bench last week. With that said, here are a look at this week's byes and pickups.

This year our staff at SOS will pick 1 fantasy player each week that we think will have a great week. We will keep a running tally all season long to see who in fact can pick the best players. A player may only be picked once a year per person.

Chris Steve Slaton, RB, Houston Texans 107 (LW: 18)

I need a big week this week and the Texans are going up against the Bills. I can only hope that the Texans run up the score against a horrible Bills team
Ted Phillip Rivers, QB, San Diego Chargers 146 (LW: 23)

Pat Matt Forte, RB, Chicago Bears 87 (LW: 21)

Forte is so due for a breakout week, and this week might be it. The Browns are ranked 31st against the run and have given up 10 rushing touchdowns already this year. Look for 120 yards plus and a couple scores for Mr. Forte.
Skip Jay Cutler, QB, Chicago Bears 167 (LW: 21)

Not an easy week to make a pick for me... so I have to pick against a horrid team. The Browns are horrid. They're playing a team that's going to come out pissed (since it lost by 40 points last week). Not a good combo. Cutler looks a lot better, pry still throws a pick, but also three scores.
Brett Jay Cutler, QB, Chicago Bears 77 (LW: 18)

Dan Peyton Manning, QB, Indianapolis Colts 121 (LW: 20)

How can you not pick him any week?

Joe Steven Jackson, RB, St. Louis Rams 158 (LW: 14)

The Lions are terrible and so are the Rams. Steven Jackson hasn't found the endzone all year but he is still averaging over 10 fantasy points a game. Look for Jackson to finally find the endzone this weekend twice while racking up the yards. He should end with at least 130 all purpose yards and 2 scores.
Brian Phillip Rivers, QB, San Diego Chargers 126 (LW: 21)

He is poised to have a great week. I'd start him if I didn't have Brett Favre going against the Packers, a close second choice for me this week.
